hxr_900_water_duty

Metric calculates duty of the cooling water in HXR900.

The primary equation used is: Duty = mass flow rate of water * (water temperature in - water temperature out) * water heat capacity.

The water flow rate from sensor FT_904 is converted from gallons per minute to lb/hr in the equation

Output Units: Btu/h

formula

hxr_900_water_duty = (FT904 * 500.7) * (TE903 - TE904) * 1.0073

The 500.7 value comes from converting the flow rate from gpm into lb/hr: 1 gallon = 8.345 lbs of water, there are 60 mins in an hour. 60*8.345 = 500.7
Water heat capacity = 1.0073 Btu/lbm °F
